  • GENERAL INFORMATION
 

 

During the course students will acquire knowledge and skills in various aspects of inland fisheries (basic science, fisheries economics, policy/law, principles of protection of the aquatic environment and hydrobionts). Graduates will also have a knowledge and practical skills related to breeding and rearing of various fish species in different production systems (earth and artificial ponds, recirculated aquaculture system - RAS, etc.) and become familiar with the basics of ecology, water biology and environmental protection.

  • FUTURE JOB OPPORTUNITIES: 
    manager of a fish farms, hatcheries and entities managing open water
    bodies (lakes, reservoirs, pond-based farms), ichthyologist supervising
    the fish farms, restocking centers and aquaculture facilities,
    an employee of companies producing and selling feed, fish harvesting
    and processing equipment, ichthyologist/inspector in state and
    local government administration units

  • REQUIREMENTS
 

Matriculation exam certificates/Secondary school exit exam certificate.
Certificates awarded abroad shall be considered equivalent to
Polish matriculation exam certificates if they contain a clause stating
the right to apply for admission to higher education institutions in
the country of issue of the certificate.
